The Gregson Community Cafe 

 

Orders can be phoned in advance 01524 849959. Prices may occasionally vary from those shown. Gregson members get a 10% discount on all 'grub' items on production of your membership card.

The Gregson Centre can host your child’s party, or your birthday, office or retirement party. Catering and bar available. Over 200 capacity in our main hall, or a delightful family party space upstairs in our new Olive Bar has a capacity of 90 people. Question is
Does all human life meet here
For nachos
Pitta dipper
or an all day breakfast?
 
The woman in the blue t-shirt clutches chrysanthemums
recently plucked from her allotment,
Drinks cappuccino
Hugs her friend
While constantly exchanging flowers from hand to hand.

Two young men with gelled hair
Scoff their fry- up enthusiastically
Discussing the fate of West Ham and Bolton -
Will they lose their stars?
 
Two women my age talk of relationship
While a teen age daughter listens wide eyed
from behind her copy of Bliss.
 
I have read the newspapers,
Drunk my tea,
In all this excited gabble,
Still detecting the music
A rhythmic background
To this place of solace,
Humour,
good coffee
And meeting
On a mid May grey Sunday afternoon,
I am smiling with the warmth of it all.

GREGSON CAFE MENUS

At the Gregson, we’ve made it our mission to provide the healthiest and best tasting food in Lancaster. That means we do things differently than other restaurants. For a start we try to source food locally and use only the freshest ingredients. We use pure food products as much as possible to avoid any preservatives or additives in the food we serve. And of course, all of our food is, where possible, GM free. And finally, we use lots of imagination. We know that fresh ingredients, combined with good ideas, will always produce great results. The bottom line? If it isn’t healthy, fresh and tasty, it doesn’t get served. That’s our promise.
