Café / Bar

Our acclaimed bar stocks

• The finest of real ales, with brews such as Thwaites’ delicious ‘Wainwrights’, local Lancaster Brewery’s ‘Amber’ and ‘Black’, plus a changing selection of guest ales from further afield. All our real ales are kept in fine condition, and the Gregson is proud to have been awarded ‘Cask Marque’ status – an industry acknowledgement of excellence.

• We also serve many fine lagers from around the world, a divine white beer from Konig Ludwig, and, when available, a draught organic cider that users of machinery should steer well clear of.

• In addition we keep a tasty selection of bottled beers and wines for your delectation.

Want to eat?

• Chef Patrick Keating has fused his New York training with his time served in the chicken shacks of the Florida Keys and his experience at the award-winning Drunken Duck in Ambleside to create an extensive menu which ranges from a traditional Sunday lunch, via such delights as his beer-battered Pollacks, through to simple but wholesome salads. He can also provide a very satisfying breakfast, a wide selection of pizzas and pastas, grills, fish dishes, salads and lighter bites. Please click here to view his menus.

• Our vegetarian guests will find much to enjoy on our menu, from Pitta Dippers and Mediterranean Platters, through to our home-made and justly renowned veggie burger.

Business
The Gregson Centre is a 200+ guest capacity venue near the heart of Lancaster, complete with catering, bar and projection facilities. Two adaptable conference rooms, a dedicated mini-cinema and lecture theatre, and a large AV equipped hall complete with bar can be at your disposal with just one phone call.

• We can cater for your meeting or event by pre-order from our extensive café menu, or by selecting one of our buffet options after discussion with our head chef. From pitta dippers and salads, via rolls, burgers  and steaks, through to fish & chip suppers—its all available at the Gregson.

• Our Main Hall has a capacity of 150, and a fitted bar, staffed for your enjoyment.

• Our Olive Room (cap 80) has a fitted bar, and can be divided into two smaller rooms (cap 40 each).

• Presentations? All our rooms have audio-visual facilities, and we have a dedicated cinema room for more relaxed viewing.

• Tea, coffee, soft drinks are available, and, for relaxation after your meeting, our main bar opens at 4.30pm.

We welcome private parties to the Gregson, so if you want to celebrate your wedding, birthday or retirement, anything at all, we are the people to see.
