And whilst the focus is firmly on the (amplified) nylon-strung Spanish guitar, Haigh has been known to utilise a good many other sound sources: body percussion, harmonica, pan lids, vocal adventures and parts of the guitar not normally touched in polite society. popular songs from the last century. Her extensive repertoire of swing and latin material includes numbers made famous by classic divas like Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Anita O'Day. Working with musical associcates in formats from intimate duo to swinging five piece band, she has appeared at venues and events across the northwest, including Lancaster Jazz Festival, the Festival of Light and Water, and Burnley Blues Festival official fringe.
