PROTECTING & IMPROVING GREEN SPACES IN LANCASTER.
The Fairfield Association was formed in October 1996 with the initial aim of protecting Fairfield Green (The play area). In 1997 the Association achieved charitable status (registered number 1058030), with the following, more general, charitable object:

The preservation, enhancement and maintenance of public areas and amenities in the City of Lancaster, in particular the Fairfield area, for the benefit of the public.

An encouraging feature of our work is that all sections of the community, young and old, have been involved in our work and raising the money needed.
