membership application

The GCA (Gregson Community Association) is the charity which owns, looks after and runs the Gregson Arts and Community Centre.

Becoming a member is a good idea for the following reasons:

  1. You get to play a part:
    i) Providing you live in one of the communities around the Gregson Centre you will have the right to vote at annual general meetings of the GCA and to become a member of the board of trustees of the Gregson Arts & Community Centre. This means that you can determine budgets, guide policy and help guide the way the Centre is run and the role it plays in the community.
ii) You can join affiliated groups such as the film society, the Gregson Arts Providers group, the Cricket Club and others.
  2. You can get (more than) your money back, quickly:
    i) You get concessionary entry into most events at the the Gregson Centre.
ii) You get a discount on food prices in the Gregson Cafe.
iii) You get concessionary rates not available to the general public at many events put on by sister organisations such as the Dukes Playhouse.
iv) You get reduced room hire rates at the centre.
    v) You get notified of special offers available only to members.

To join or renew your membership, simply drop into the Gregson Centre any day between 11am and 11pm and ask at the bar, sit down have a glass of wine or a herbal tea, read the paper, talk to people, gaze into the fire and relax.
